A common question we often receive is how should a person go about moving their Gammill from it’s current location? Can you do it yourself, do you need to hire a Gammill dealer to do it, or can you just leave it to the moving company?
From our perspective, we want to give you the most information so that you can make the choice that is right for you. Moving machines takes a lot of time — time that we could spend setting up a NEW machine, or providing maintenance and upgrade services, and so we as a dealership only want to provide the moving service itself if our customer is unable or unwilling to do the move themselves.
As a start, please read this article about moving your longarm machine.
After familiarizing yourself with the process, you might feel comfortable doing the move yourself. It is a good idea to schedule a “service call” with us for shortly after the machine arrives in it’s new home, so that we can correct any issues that may have arisen due to the move. IF YOU DEPEND ON INCOME FROM YOUR MACHINE it may be more desirable to have us handle the move for you. We can do it in our truck, or in yours. We will need a 15 foot or longer box truck with loading ramp. Rates vary depending on locations and timing flexibility, but generally moves are from $500 to $1700.
If you decide you would like to have us move the machine, please register for service call at our Support page and in the comments, tell us what needs to happen and what your timeline is.
Thank you for reading! We are really committed to making sure you can continue quilting with a minimum of interruptions and inconvenience. Above all, your machine needs to be working properly in it’s new home, and we are here to help you in that.
